Heaven...or Hell? Your choice.

Tomorrow is not promised. Life as you know it can end suddenly. The Bible says in James 4:14 "Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away." Life is short, that's for certain.
Unfortunately, life ended much too quickly for one of my former schoolmates. Last night, she met her Maker after a fatal car crash on the interstate. I don't know the condition of her heart, but I pray that Jesus lived there, otherwise she is burning in the everlasting flames of hell.
You may not believe in God, Heaven, or hell, but I'm here to tell you that these 3 things ARE real. The Bible says in Philippians 2:10-11 "That at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; and that every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is LORD, to the glory of God the Father." The Bible does not lie, and neither does God, so these things written therein will happen.
God sent His only Son, Jesus, to earth in the form of man because He saw what we, as a sinful people, needed...a Saviour. We have sinned against our Creator and were destined for hell, but Jesus took care of all of that. He died on the cross for YOU and for ME. He was the perfect sacrifice for our sin. When He was hanging on that cross, YOU were on His mind. He had the weight of YOUR SIN upon Him. He knew you, what you are, what sins you would commit, how you would reject Him....and yet He died for you anyways. He LOVES you, that's why He gave His life for you.
But that's not how the story ends, it gets better! He was put in a tomb, dead and lifeless, but 3 days later, just as He said, He came back to life and walked out of the grave! Death could not hold Him! Jesus is All-Powerful and conquered death and the grave!

Jesus came into my heart on Halloween Night 1995. I haven't always been the best servant for Him and I've made my fair share of mistakes and regrets, but He is able to use me and is changing me for the better. Don't you want the same? Wouldn't you love to know that you have a Heavenly Father that is taking care of you, that is guiding you to make the right decisions.
God is All-Powerful, but He did give us the "right to choose". We can choose to accept His FREE gift of eternal life and a home in Heaven.... or we can choose to deny Him and have an eternal home in hell, a place of darkness and EVERLASTING fire. Hell is not going to the "party place" like some people believe. The Bible says that Hell is everlasting torment, where the worm never dies, but is in flames forever. I would not want to go there.

If you want to ask Jesus into your heart so that you can have His love and salvation, the Bible says that you must realize that:

1. You are a sinner. "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23
We have all sinned. We have all done things that are displeasing to God. There is no one who is innocent.

2. The consequences for our sin is death. "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our LORD." Romans 6:23
The punishment that we have earned for our sin is death. Not just physical death, but eternal death.

3. Jesus died for us, to pay our penalty. "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8
Jesus Christ died for us! Jesus' death paid for the price of our sins. Jesus' resurrection on the third day proves that God accepted Jesus' death as the payment for our sins.

4. If you ask Him to, He will save you! "That if you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9
Because of Jesus' death on our behalf, all we have to do is believe in Him, trusting that He paid the penalty for our sins, and we will be saved.

Romans 10:13 says it again, "for everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

5. We now have eternal life in Jesus! "Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." Romans 5:1

Romans 8:38-39 says "For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Nothing can make us lose our salvation. We are safe and secure in the Lamb's Book of Life forever!

I pray that those of you that have read this that didn't know Christ as your Saviour can say differently now. The Bible says that if you are saved, that you are my brother or sister in Christ. I love brothers and sisters, so I pray that you have that assurance today!

Please leave comments if this blog has helped you, whether it's strengthened your faith, or if you nailed down your salvation today. I would LOVE to hear from you! Good day and GOD BLESS!!
